MR. IFEANYI ARARUME
Mr Ifeanyi Araraume Jnr. was born in Benin City on July 26 to 1982 to the family of Senator and Barr. Mrs. Gladys Araraume. He is the first of seven children and he attended Lydia primary school, Benin City between 1985-1991. He then proceeded to Igbinedion Education center, Benini city between 1991-1997 where he got his WAEC certificate. Ifeanyi then proceeded to Imo State University, Owerri in 1998 where he was studying Law before he travelled to United Kingdom to complete his Law degree at the University of Buckingham in 2003. Later in 2004, he proceeded to the Nigerian Law School, Bwari and was called to the Nigerian Bar in November 2005.
Aspiring to advance his academic status, Mr. Ifeanyi Araraume jnr. went back to the University of Buckingham in January 2006 to do his Masters degree in Law which he completed in 2007. He served his fatherland in the NYSC programme between 2007-2008 in the firm of Prince Lateef Fagbemi SAN & Co where he participated actively in some landmark cases including the case involving Amechi vs INEC. He continued in the firm of Prince Lattef Fagbemi until 2009 when he was appointed the Managing Director of Exclusive Stores Ltd., one of Nigeria’s largest indigenous supermarket chains. He was instrumental to the rebranding of the store chain.
In December 2015, Mr. Ifeanyi Araraume jnr. was appointed as Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Tourism by Governor Rochas Okorocha (OON) and was sworn into office in January 2016.
