Before the commencement of the tenure of Governor Anayochukwu Ethelbert Rochas Okorocha, as the Fifth Executive Governor of Imo State, there was an exodus of teachers to private Schools, even children of the average class opted for private schools, due to decayed infrastructures, absence of quality attention from government angle and unbearable level of neglect that highly discouraged both teachers and parents.

REVIVAL OF ADAPALM AS A PRODUCT OF ROCHAS’ ECONOMIC POLICY
Agricultural Development Authority Palm (ADAPALM) now known as Imo Palm Plantation (IPP) was founded by the East central State Government as a department of the former Imo Agricultural Development Corporation with it’s headquarters at Nekede.
The project was initiated by the administration of the then Premier of the Eastern Region, Dr. Michael Opara, but was however abandoned as a result of the oil boom.

A GLIMPSE OF SPORTS PROMOTION UNDER GOVERNOR OKOROCHA
For about 18 years in Imo State before the administration of Governor Rochas Okorocha came on board on May 29th 2011, the state appeared to be moving on a reverse gear in the field of sports, particularly the game of sports, but the governor`s determination to give both moral and financial support to the sector brought into reality the much desired positive change and the restoration of the lost glory of the state owned Heartland Football Club in the Nigeria Premier league as a house hold name.
