HON. EMMANUEL ORIE

 

 

Hon. Emmanuel Orie a.k.a Youth Ambassador is the Honorable member representing Ohaji/Egbema State Constituency in Imo House of Assembly. He is a very wonderful man, a quintessential lawmaker, very humane, amiable, accessible, a listening leader, very soft on issues but hard on decision, an agreement keeper, a promise fulfiller, a trustworthy fellow, a good loyal party man, a handsome man, less controversial, very thoughtful and forthright, very tactful and above all, a fearer of God and lover of man. Hon. Orie is a man of tomorrow and a blessing to his generation. In politics, he is a grass rooter, in social life, he is a good jolly fellow, in business, he is very shrewd and in private life, he can be very affectionate.

Background:

He was born in the family of Nze & Lolo Johnson Orie Uboh in Umuokuzu In Umuokanne Autonomous community in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area Imo State in the year 1977.

He attended Central School Umuokanne from 1986-1992 where he had his first school leaving certificate. Thereafter, he attended Government Secondary School Owerri between 1992 – 1998 and passed the West African School Certificate Examination in flying colors. He later enrolled at the University of Abuja where read Political Science between 2005 and 2009.

  

 

ACHIEVEMENTS IN ONE YEAR AS A LEGISLATOR.

  1. (Scholarship programme for sixty five primary six pupils seeking admission into Federal Govt. College across the nation).

  2. (Roads project).

  3. In view of bringing the rights accrued to his L.G.A home, fulfilling campaign promises and bringing dividends of democracy to the people, he has carried out a constituency project which is an information communication training centre (ICT) and staff  lounge for all the workers in the L.G.A Headquarters.

  4. Electrification: because of the passion he has for Ohaji Egbema people, he led the house of assembly committee on petroleum resources/ISOPADEC/

NDDC to EEDC office to make sure that Ohaji Egbema electricity is restored.

 BILL sponsored:

A bill for a law to establish the Imo State University of Science &Technology in Egbema, Ohaji Egbema L.G.A and other related matters (second reading).

 

Motion moved:

Motion for a bill to find ways of stopping further oil spillages by oil companies operating in the oil producing areas of Imo State.

  2. Vice Chairman House Committee on NDDC/ISOPADEC AND PETROLEUM.

  3. Merit award as a Patron for confraternity of our mother of perpetual help catholic diocese of Portharcourt.
