IMO GOVERNMENT LAUNCHES NEW TRANS. SCHEME
Rescue mission regime of Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has launched a new transport scheme for people of the state.
The official commissioning of the scheme took place in Owerri at Victory Chapel Government House.
Governor Okorocha explained that the essence of the scheme is to reduce the suffering of the people in the transport sector, the transport fair will be subsidized as government has fixed the price at N50.00.
Owelle Okorocha who pointed out his observation on in flocks of people in the city of Owerri, said it is a right step towards an organized transport scheme, designed to meet with the pace of development in the state.
Determined to reduce the emerging difficulties experience by Imo people, Owelle Okorocha revealed the plans of his regime to inject more vehicles in the second segment, so as to enhance easy movement of people.
In her comments, Imo State Commissioner for Works and Transport Honourable Mrs. Josephine Udorji, described it as another milestone in the Owelle Okorocha’s giant strides to reduce the sufferings of the people. “Imo workers will not border themselves going to work because the transport fair now is very cheap and the operators are well trained. She applauded the governor for embarking on people oriented programs always and urged the masses to give him massive support to enable him fully realize his agenda of a better and well transformed Imo State.
