Harvest of testimonies as Imo D.Gov launches book
It was a harvest of testimonies for Imo State Deputy Governor, Prince Ezeakonobi Madumere during a book launch in his honour.
The book titled` Prince Madumere `A True Manifestation of a Royal Prince`, launched in Imo State at New Concorde Hotel Owerri, was written by Peter Clever Obi.
The book launch which attracted many distinguished personalities from various states in Nigeria was chaired by a prominent legal luminary Barrister Niyi Akintola (SAN)
In his speech, the Chairman of the occasion described Madumere as a true and loyal Servant who is fully committed and dedicated in rendering quality and selfless services to his boss.
He further observed that the Deputy Governor Eze Madumere, most times stakes his life for the course of his master and pointed out that his actions are emulative and commendable.
Adding his voice, the Book Reviewer Professor Joseph Ahaneku, who is the current Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, scored Madumere high for combining royalty and loyalty in assisting his master in the service of humanity.
While reviewing the book, Prof Ahaneku made a sensitive observation about the humane, caring and humanitarian nature of Prince Madumere and his selfless service and finally recommended the book for the general public for psychological and mental re-engineering.
Contributing the Deputy Vice Chancellor Imo State University; Professor UD Anyanwu, described the book as an exercise in nation building and the points highlighted by the author about the personality of the deputy governor as cardinal point in public service.
He said the book truly presented a true picture of what the deputy governor is - `Royal and Loyal Price` and will surely inspire many for posterity.
The Governor of Kano State, His Excellency Alhaji Umar Ganduje eulogized the deputy governor, saying that the book mirrors down his true qualities.
Imo State Governor who later addressed the mammoth crowd towards the end of the event, described the deputy governor as his political son in whom he is well pleased, a unique and exemplary servant leader who has followed him for about two decades with humility, simplicity and meekness.
The state governor said his deputy has merited every position he occupied from their days of little beginning in Rochas Foundation through dint of hard work and selfless service
His words, “Prince Madumere has a good record of `Rochanomics` and understands its principles, He doesn’t doubt my words, it is my joy to see my children grow, I don’t see him as Deputy, I see him as a son supporting the father in the administration of the state.
In his response Madumere appreciated the Governor for giving him the opportunity to serve humanity, saying `if my loyalty to the governor is a crime I will continue to commit such crime.
He appreciated the people for massively turning out to grace the occasion and gave special kudos to the first family for tolerating him for over 23 years, stating that his journey in serving humanity cannot be complete without them.
The event that made Imo State agog attracted many governors and deputy governors from South East, South West and Northern region including a business Mogul Prince Alex Mbata, who was represented by Hon. Dan Ikpeazu former Owerri North House Member in the last dispensation.
