Ololo unfolds roadmap for Umuma Ebenmano Youths Movement


Matron of Umuma Ebenmano Youth Movement in Ideato South Local Government Area of Imo State Mrs Ogechi Ololo has outlined a pathway for extraordinary life of impact and relevance for the youths.

She marshaled out a pathway for the youths to follow if they are desirous to be youths of high esteem in the society during a speech presented at Umuchima Play Ground in the LGA at the 2016 Umuma Ebenmano Youths Summit and opening of their new office.

The matron of the group who is also the Deputy Chief of Staff Domestic and Internal Affairs to Governor Okorocha of Imo State was ably represented by the Principal Officer to the Governor on Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) MR Tochi Nwosu and the Media Officer ICT Unit Mr Chuks Nwokeji.

In a written speech presented on her behalf by Mr Nwosu, she charged the members of the group to be visionary, remain focused and use it to champion a new course for the betterment of the youths by making it a platform for empowerment.

Ololo explained that training and retraining of the youths through workshops, seminars and impactful programmes that will properly guide them for meaningful engagements after school is absolutely imperative.

She admonished the youths to properly and strategically package their activities to be different in action and approach, so as to make them youths of high esteem in the society.

The Deputy Chief of Staff Domestic and Internal Affairs further cautioned them against the antics of politicians who may use them for their selfish political gains, stating that if the group is politicized, it will lose its credibility, its peace, unity and progress will be badly affected.

The group`s matron who stressed the need for Umuma Ebenmano Youths Movement to remain focused also urged them to be highly motivated by the success story of Imo State Governor, Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha who rose from grass to grace by dint of hard work.

Earlier in an address presented on behalf of the group through the Acting General Secretary Rotarian L. N. Nwokedi, the group described the event as the first in the annals of the ancient clan, where youths have passionately converged to draw a road map for economic, political and socio-cultural emancipation.

The event attracted distinguished personalities from Ideato South and beyond including Chief Godwin Okwara, Chief Innocent Maduagwu the traditional Prime Minister of Umuma Isiaku, the chairman of the occasion Ifeanyi Ararume Junior who was ably represented among others.
